The 64th Sapporo Snow Festival
February 5 - 11 in 2013.
It began in 1950 and now it's one of the
largest winter events in Japan.
Every winter,
about two million people come to Sapporo
to see a large number of splendid snow
statues and ice sculptures.
For seven days
the statues and sculptures turn Sapporo into
a winter dreamland of crystal-like ice and
white snow.
